I really wanted to produce something with water and ripples. This 3DS Max still was a good way to play with rendering water refraction and reflection. Nothing intense. No Vray in this one. Just mental ray. Opacity map on the leaf. The fish are modeled, albeit quite simply since their image would be refracted through the water. Environment map was key for the lighting in this scene. The part where the fishing line touches the water, I just photoshopped that based on references because ain't nobody got time for that. A little color correction and "lens dirt" comped into the final with PS.
